I have for sale my 1970 beetle. This was my first Beetle and since owning the car I have spend over £1500 on parts to make the car drive as good as she looks. I finally got to a stage were all the mechanics are sorted but sadly I need to move her on as I have a 67 sitting on my drive which need the time and the money. She has around 6 months MOT left on her and is of course tax exempt. She has Petrini Porsche alloys with new Michelin tyres and a spare, 1500 engine with recent carb rebuild, Geneberg gear shifter, semi W decklid, US spec headlights, long bonnet and sloping head lights, alternator conversion and original buckle and clasp seat belts. I recently had the engine tuned and I've carried out 3 oil changes since I've had her. Below is a list of the parts that have been renewed in the last 6 months or so. Exhaust, Heat exchangers, Indicator stalk, Bonnet seal, Aerial, Mirrors, Fuel filler cap, Steering box, Fuel gauge sender, there are more parts but the are gaskets, nuts and bolts. There are two 'bad' bits with the car, one is that there is tiny blisters in the paint on the wings, not noticeable from 2 metres away but you can see them if you get close. Secondly the seats could do with re trimming as the cloth part of the covers has perished. The seats themselves are very good. I spent £3500 on the car 6 months ago and have spent a further £1500 since. Because of the paint on the wings and the seats I would just like to get my £3500 that I payed for it back. Not open to offers because if I was I would just say £4000 and take £3500 but I cant be arsed with the bartering. If you want a mechanically and structurally sound beetle with a little tidying up needed then this is the beetle for you.
