mine has been popping but Laurie said it was probably a bit of muck in the idler valve (whatever that is) and it'll be sorted when i have my 500m service.
ha! i wish. sorry, new engine will need service at 500 miles. Laurie diagnosed the popping and the mechanic will sort it at the service
Pops and bangs fixed I think, idle now nice and low, still running rich, what I thought was a timed engine, looks like it was a little out, running 8atdc now set at 28 btdc @ 3000 rpm, about 8 btdc at idle, much better... Taking it to north park in Glastonbury tomorrow for them to have a look over the jetting of the dells, hopefully they will get the last 20%
