Done mine. Now all the thieves know where my bus lives. But I don't care. As you can see from my map, they've first got to get through the gates. No chance. If they try climbing over the wall, it'll set off an alarm to 24/7 on-site security guards. If they get past that then I'll glady give them my bus.

Stupid question! Is placing yourself on the members map safe to do? Is it only members that can see or can guests see also?

I came on at around 1:45am Sat morning and was on for around 20 mins and was suprised to see 16 guests viewing the forum and myself and one other member. Now call me paranoid but i did find it strange to have that many guests viewing at that time of the day. I'm aware there are pleanty of night owls out there.

Not really sure if i want the world and his mate being able to view my location.

I was going to post a topic about it but didnt really want to put off any potential newbies. Maybe i need to lay off the green )

 

I tried it as a guest and couldn't see it. As for "guests" at odd hours they are often search engines pinging their way through or simply legitimate guests who happen to live in a different timezone. My pin does not exactly mark the spot but just simply announces to others there's someone in West Kent

 

Fritt is right on both counts - a lot of people just add it to an anonymous location nearby.

Just moved mine to a nearby location, was bang on my house before

 

Bump for new members - remember only place the pin as near to your location as you feel comfortable - perhaps add it to a near by roundabout or your city centre.
