Peugeot 205

  1. This is literally the car I always wanted as a child. I remember going out with my dad on one of his work calls and seeing this car outside a house in Luton. I remember it well because there was 3 or 4 ford cosworths on the drive too and at 10 years old you don't forget that to easily. From that day I always wanted a 205 with a T16 kit on Anyway. 15 years later I saw an advert for a car in Norwich which I went to see and promptly brought. I asked the guy where he got it and he said somewhere in Luton. I asked him if there where cossies on the drive and he said yes. Could you believe it. The exact car I'd always wanted. Can't bring myself to sell it so its a ongoing project of mine. Tucked away in my garage. Goes like stink as well. Done my brothers evo no probs lol

  2. Great car, I had a 1.9 GTi back in the early 90's and what a car it was and even to this day regret selling it on.

205's are awsome. They didn't save Peugeot for being dull that's for sure. Never had a GTi. Had a 1.4 Rolland Garros. That was fast enough for me and would see of a friends BMW 325 with ease.

    Enjoy it.

  4. Loved my 205 1.9GTI. I used to terrorise Nottingham with it, my favourite hot hatch of all time, a real fun car.

I had to get rid of it when the petrol tank fell out!

I then bought a 306 GTI. Another fun car.

I then got a family and a sensible car :-(

    My son had a 106 GTI for a while. Was like a go-kart :)

  6. We had the 1.6GTI but the best was the 405 Mi16 it went like **** off a stick 170 bhp the 205 boys took the engines to make 205s faster,
    Steve,

  7. Mines got the 2l from the 306 gti6 in it. 220bhp, slip diff. Goes like a rocket in straight lines and round corners.

  8. Great car....I sold my track version in September so I could fund the purchase of the Van (Kinda miss the 205 but I hardly ever used it as it wasn't road legal)

  9. I had the 309 gti years ago it was rapid and handled really well, not quite as good as the 205's but i could fit more mates in

  11. Kool love the old 205,s dubious build quality and made out of cardboard lol but cracking fun motor

  12. How much ;)

  13. it was offered was a swap for my Citroen Xsara diesel estate so About £1000

  14. Take it!!

  15. I'd be snapping his hand off for that.

  16. I am thinking about it but im under orders from the missus
To get rid of some cars. I dont think she would be too impressed. She has only just got over the Single cab project.
    I need to sell
    My Citroën xsara
    My 306 cabriolet
    My daughter's Peugeot 107
    And my 1970 1500 Beetle.

If he's still got it then Ill have it

I start a new job next week that comes with a car so ive got to make room for that

  17. If its a swap then you won't have any extra cars :)

  18. Plus you would have got rid of the worst.....

    :p

  19. The Citroen isnt the best looking car in the world but it has one of the best Diesel engines ever. the 2.0 HDI is bullet proof. dont need it though.
the idea was just to have the prototype bay Camper, the late Single Cab and the Vespa. oh and the company car.
the missus still thinks thats too may, she is probably right.

The 309 would be a nice addition though :)
