My boss could fill the diesel tanks and make a killing. We have a two 10000 gallon tanks at work. It would make a difference.

  11. Asda & sainsburys £1.07 up here. Diesel still 7p more. My van still has a full tank and a flat battery! When I next full up it might be at that magic £1 price :)

  12. I can't see it getting to £1 per litre. We pay 58p in tax + vat. This leaves very little left for production, transport and retailers. My guess is that it will flatline soon.

    Going down!
North sea oil now costs more to extract than it's sold for I heard on radio this morning as experts tried to explain the huge drops.
None of them stated the bleedin obvious which is that prices have been artificially high for the last couple of years!
Not so long ago we were all squeeking about buying push-bikes and selling our vans if it got over £1/ltr, it's funny how you get used to being royally ripped off after a while.

They will be putting up the tax next given that its been frozen for some time now it could be a big hike

  18. Soon we can be like the Saudi's when we fill up.............leave the nozzle on 'auto' shut off............except 'auto' doesn't work!
Manually shut it off when the forecourt is covered by £5's worth.

just seen on central news people still moaning about the price it's gone down 35p plus in the last 12 months i'm sure if it was £1 we'll still moan, make the most of it while we can it will soon go up again.

  20. Makes you think, when it went up to 80p/l, the truckers blockaded the refineries. Come on @poptop2 , make an effort.:)
