He used to tune Volkswagens.

Met the man a couple of times - quite a, mmm , character! Is he still with us?

I used to own a copy of that book but made the mistake of lending it to someone (who claimed to have known Mr Noad through the classic rallying scene back in the 90s) and never got it back

He used to have a page in volksworld many moons ago if I remember.

 

He used to be a wrestler in the US.
Changed his name from Rock Point.

And was a regular contributor in VW Motoring magazine in the Robin Wager years. Also used to be a prominent member of the Audi Owners Club - think one of the times I met him was when I helped out on the club stand at Stanford Hall one year. He used to own a very nice early mk1 Audi 80 GTE.
