Pdsit twin carbs, struggling to adjust idle speed

One step at a time

 

First thing you do is disconnect the two drop links from the crossbar.
Then use a couple of screwdrivers to hold open the choke flaps fully open.
Unscrew each throttle stop until they are not touching.
Then screw in until they just touch, then one more complete turn.
This sets the throttle basic setting.
No further adjustment of the throttle stops is the necessary.
Reconnect the drop links and make sure the throttles are still on their stops.
Using the throttle crossbar, make sure each throttle opens at exactly the same time.
Use the adjustable drop link to synchronize them.
