Volume mixture screw plug. Do I need to treat it like my first born, or just hoi the thing out. I'm sure it's there for a good reason, but the wee blighter is proving a little stubborn and is begining to break up. Ta peeps.
Well imo if its breaking up and u may have business with the blighter in the future ,may as well continue hoiking it out and buy a replacement, you refering to a cover plug ,not the actual screw ,yeah?
Yep, the cover plug. I imagine it may prevent the actual screw from coming out of adjustment, probably. Was thinking a blob of gasket blue would do the same.
Yup ,usually thats why they are so "sealed " , which in itself is a debate , from my own experience i would not concern myself 2 much re it being removed.
And if the reason your removing said plug is to screw around with said screw , specifically, look at it ,count the 360 degree turns to get it to "seat", that way if things/adjustements go skewiff ,you can set it back to where it started, and apologies if you knew that dude
