  1. Has anyone had experience of using clear varnish over rusted metal to try and preserve it?
    any suggestions?

  2. @GRINNER is certainly the man for this question... His bus is rustacular! Although thinking about it I think he lacquered his, not varnished it..
Either way, he may well have some good advice :)

  3. was going to put lacquer but couldn't spell it………

usually the way to preserve patina is to scotch pad the vehicle and clear coat over it, K.C always moans on fast n loud that he has to do it.

  6. If you wipe WD40 over your surface rust once a week you will maintain your "Patina" nicely.

  14. If you have any plans to paint it at all in future DONT use this Marmitee. The only option is to bare metal it and use chemical compounds to get shot of it.

Ask me how I've found this out...?
