Panel van middle side panel.

  1. Yes it's me again :)

Has anyone experience of either cutting the side middle panel out and sticking a window in or replacing the panel for one with the correct window cut out. I didn't know if there was a strength issue if it was just cut out as opposed to a panel moulded correctly for a window.

Ahhh too much to do and little time....:)

  2. Mines a panel van conversion camper and the holes for the windows are just cut straight out and glass and seal intended for a panel van are fitted in the hole

A lot of people will beg you not to chop into a panel van to fit windows

  3. Yeh I understand. Is there no loss of rigidity as the panel wouldn't have been intended for a window?

I only want to do this one. I'll leave all the other 3 as is for privacy. It would be nice to use the slider window and the opposite one to let more light into the main area in the van. The dark bit at the back can be left for Kipping in lol

  4. Theres not much rigidity in the panels themselves to be honest dude
