On the subject of carb icing, the PO fitted a progressive webber carb and as every one knows they can be prone to carb icing. I'm glad to report that I have had no such problems. (although I only use the bus during the summer months)
Original Monza 4 tips are fine! Mines been on for atleast 7 years and I've had no issues... (Whats the betting when it finally rots out and I change it I'll realise how restricting its been.....)
I know new Monzas rust as you take them out of the box but my original is still rock solid. I did have a BAD Bocar carb and a pancake filter though which I did away with!
