Padding for rear hatch trim panel?

  1. I'll be making a new trim panel when i fit my new rear hatch as the leaking window frame wrecked the old one.
What should i use to pad it out a little instead of it just being a hardboard panel?

I'm planning on sticking some sound deadening pads on the metal skin and waxoyling it before i fit the trim panel. I've also got rolls of closed cell foam and some foil covered bubble wrap stuff to go in too.

  2. When I removed mine it had that loft fibreglass stuff in it!

  3. Thats what my westy has in all the side panels. Rockwool stuff doesn't burn (i tried some). :)
I reckon theres better stuff thats been invented in the last 40 years that'll work better.
