I haven’t bought a pint in a pub for years, so nearly fell of my bar stool when I was told the price of a pint of Ale, and a Malibu and coke….
Im edging my bet on £14.00. A pint of decent beer probably £6.00 (holidaymaker prices) and the rest in Malibu & Coke
No point in moaning ... make your own cider , there are loads of really good beers and larger's to brew ( Coopers ) for a start . You can pick up proper cider apples at the end of pressing season when they have done what they need . You can pick them up cheap .
Free ...Art . you will only need one pint at 8.9 % ,Cider that is . Coopers kits make a really good lager . My first experience of coopers was at my sisters birthday party down at St Albans . Her husband had made loads of it all in a cooling tub ..lager about 6% . I was expecting it to be all bitter and yeasty . It was as good as any quality bottled lager . It wasn't long before my wife said that i had " quite enough for one day "
You win! Holiday maker prices indeed.. still, it stops you getting drunk I suppose Last time I bought a pint, it was about 3 quid!
Not a bad guess eh!! Thats about Rock City (in Nottingham's) pricing for beer and spirits etc, or it certainly was back in March!
A pint of Theakstons in the local here is £3.85. Mind you Guinness is £4.80 a pint. As @art b said it depends on location.
beat me too it, get your missus to drink 1/2 an ale and they charge for umbrellas and sparklers in your malibu and coke and Im more worried Im going to see you in your budgie smuggles with malibu and coke next week !!!!!!
Just left Cuenca Spain. Visited the old town called in to an old convent which is now a Parador. Fantastic place, large internal courtyard, thought this will cost a packet. 3 beers and a coke accompanied by lovely tapas ……. Served at the table 12 euros !
