If the weather was better and I could have a big house and garden and live in the country , I'd move like a shot...
Giss a chance, I can only work weekends! Steel arrives for the base this weekend. Then we start mixing sand and clay. 10 buckets of each Have wellies at the ready to tread it together.
You do realise my wife is from Naples and makes superb authentic pizzas and we are in the middle of a garden refurb.
Saturday's progress. Sheet steel in place. That was heavy. Nice notch to slide it into. Then on go the firebricks...and a nice later of sand on top. Then the bricks on top that will make the base of the oven. Rain stopped play, dammit. Today is clay mixing day though if the rain stops. But we need three dry days for the build. So we might finish in 2020!
Why didn't I think of that? Actually you'd need sides if it was driving rain. But hmm, yes, good ide if it was just drizzling. And I do have a v moth eaten one somewhere...
