I tried some canned old lager once and basically it had developed extra yeast and lost all its sugar. So it was cloudy, musty and had lost any sweetness. Basically tasted nasty but did not cause any explosions.
I believe the reduction in ABV was originally done for reasons of beer duty to save the brewers money.
Stick it in the firms kettle and make a brew for all. Make the bosses double strength, ply him all day and then ask for a rise before you go home, hopefully he's got an extra Friday feeling. Even offer to take him home when he's had enough. If you don't get the rise put him on a bus, not VW. http://store.approvedfood.co.uk/blog/alcohol-and-food-dates/#:~:text=Can beer “go bad”?,beer will deteriorate over time
Correct ....Holstein Pils suffered sales due to that decision and Stella according to pub land lords . Some of the Polish lagers are moving down that route . But plenty do still with a hansom wack like Zywiec at 5.6%
I hope he backed it up by blessing your palm with silver for your Christmas bonus in these hard times as I take it this could have been his way of a Christmas box. But it could be said:-
Take a bottle and insert it into the boss,s orifice where the sun dont shine , and ask if he likes being abused as he abuses you offering foodstuff four years out of date. Totally disrespectful , reminds me of this image:-
Put it in a glass and take it along to any Christmas party you go to and no one will ever know it's out of date. Crush the can and put it in the bin but not in Stella anger. Besides it's more posh in a glass especially on the beach.
This is the way any beer should be left in the sun and that's only for a matter of seconds until cheers and then down the hatch.
