Despite his protestations to the contrary, when I arrived to pick him up, Iggle was waiting on the pavement doing little jumps and clapping his hands together in excitement. He was so excited he'd wee'd his shorts earlier and the dinner suit was the only other clothing he had to hand. I had to spend 10 minutes waiting for him to calm down before I unlocked the door and let him into the hallowed interior of a real bay window bus. Within a few seconds we we pulled over by the police - Peters flashing blue tie had attracted their attention and he was given a stiff warning to keep it switched off in future as we could have been mistaken for an emergency services vehicle On the way back he made us stop at least half a dozen times pretending he could smell the brakes getting hot. One time I even successfully utilised the wonderful O.G. Vehicle Emergency Jack to demonstrate how feely the wheel went round (Jack now up for sale on my thread - they're just great. ). Hopefully Pete will post a pic of the highly successful jack usage that I can add to my advert. He's a bit of a worrier so in the end I backed off the adjusters on one wheel to humour him. : I also had to explain that it's good if the charging light shines brightly all the time as it shows the dynamo is working. This is another really great idea discontinued when VW started making the budget version - commonly known as a "Late" bay.
Swoosh, that's gone over my head! Although I do believe they were sambas? If it wasn't for my low battery & lack of 3G for most of the time I would have known it was you guys and could of said hi...
Iggle didn't get a picture of the jacking incident so I better come clean. The jack lifted the van, then I guess I can't applied the handbrake enough because the it slipped forward and twisted the jack, jamming it at about 45 degs. I wrenched the handle round a few turns to take a bit of weight off then the ratchet broke and I kicked the broken twisted thing out. I should have thrown it over the hedge But I thought I might bang it straight and put it on Ebay.... Just kidding.
Someone's asked on VZi about a man in a tux and flippers at Stanford Hall - that wasn't our iggle piggle, was it? I see tux but no flippers.
