Anyone else wishing the snow away whilst watching Martin dovey in his bus in the sun?? It's been way too long since I woke up in my bus
I'm going at the end of next week no matter what. This was the view I woke up to last time I camped a few weeks ago
Ive downloaded the series on my iPad to watch on a rainy day or if we are travelling for work, I enjoyed the series & hoped another would be out by now!
I'm watching!! but i do like snow, so not worried about it snowing I've subscribed to his blog and I don't think he's been signed for another series... unless Discovery want to pay him some extra money!
In very envious. I long to be away preparing food and eating alfresco like Martin in this sweet show.
I reckon paradox should do a show parallel to Martins. Little bit more along the line of "Bear Gryllis" OR "Ray Mears" type effort but using the "Paravan"
Your on the same lines as a lot of my thinking The wild gourmets did a tv program close to what id like to do but it lost its soul a bit due to lack of funding from the tv company Me and the wiseman are going to meet up once the paravan is on the road and do a one off episode of wild camping/living Ned from hayburner is also going to do a feature on my bus combined with a little wild living write up Maybe after that ill buy and learn how to work a camcorder and put up a few vids on you tube These maybe young fellas but they have the right attitude and ideas
Ive not done much road kill to be honest I like my meat to be alive and well before i take it That way the animal is living a happy and free and healthy life before it gives that up for me With road kill you have no real idea of how its ended up there Not all those badgers you see at the side of the road got run over a lot have been poisened and chucked on the road to look like a vehicle has hit them Theres an old country recipe for badger ham id like to try but they are protected at present and i wouldent fancy ingesting whatever poisen was used if thats how they died
To be fair, I enjoyed it, but there wasn't really a natural follow on that could have made a second series, so I agree.
I didn't mind it either , don't watch much TV as I'm normally happy sat with my thoughts, I enjoyed seeing the country side and campsites , reminded me of being out in the van , not really sure what people expected from the show?
I expected nothing so wasn't disappointed. I'm not one for watching a show just because it has a bus in it, which was pretty much all it had going for it. All imho of course.
A second series could have been a drive around Europe, we have all tootled round the UK, but seeing the pitfalls and joys of a grand tour would have been good
