What sort of dash panel should be fitted to late bays? Mine is painted but all the others I have seen are plastic. Is it just a covering that the po has somehow peeled off or were some metal?
All bay window dashes are metal. In US, the metal was padded with vinyl as standard, while in the rest of the world these padded dashes were an extra option. (i am unsure about Australia though) Bay's up to 1970, especially pickups and panel vans had body colored dashes, while the rest and most buses have a matte black, rough finish resembling plastic.
73 are metAl some 74's are metal after that they have a plastic covering on them I think that's right
