I'm going on strike over the Olympics.

Is it me or are others getting just a little bit fed up of all these services shouting "strike!!"

  2. im out ...

  3. I have to work over the Olympics on stupid shifts and have basically been told work the shift or get a disaplinary.

Like it or lump it. So will be doing my job as that is what I get paid for.

  4. Was the Olympics supposed to be a holiday?

  6. I would tend to agree but that said I've never been in a position where strike action has been an option so I don't really have an educated opinion on it.

If you were in someone else's shoes and your company was going to take away your pension and lower your wage (for example) and you had the option of striking to hopefully improve the situation, would you?

  7. Original post deleted i got out of bed the wrong side :(

  8. sack the lot of them and give their jobs to people that want to work

  10. my son drives the No 19 from battersea through picadilly etc to finsbury park, they will all be asked to do extra

shifts...thats no problem, they have all been politely asked not to take any holiday...thats no problem, most of them will

need to set out an hour earlier to get to work because of suspended parking...(no london bus driver can actually afford

to live there) thats no problem..........the problem is if all the extra is expected and you give tube and railway workers a

£900 bonus for the same 'extra's.

  11. since my son (aged 25) has driven a London bus for 3 years, he has been spat at in the face, threatened with a

Knife, intervened when a young girl being sexually assulted by a smart 'city workerin broad daylight ', been in court

for the first time after a cab driver punched him through the cab window, this is all aparentley par for the course for a

bus driver in London...........tonight when he gets in I will remind him he should be 'grateful' for a job........I would'nt

    do it.
