For some reason my son loves these, with the squarer headlights, so for his first car I'm trying to find him one. Low mileage but don't mind the age. Hopefully not falling apart with rust. We live in Kent but don't mind travelling reasonable distances. Thanks.

I agree. I like the mk1 but they are getting scarce. the mk2 is great car especially the mk2 gti. My son has one and we are doing work on it alogside his T25 which always needs work.
