Sorry I didn’t understand your reply, my oil filter has a hole in and is crap basically, we took it off the other night and went for a drive and had no issues, I didn’t know they were a bad thing that’s all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dont do it! Of course, while the weather is warm you wont notice, but if the air temperature is more like 10C than 30C or its humid you would notice the difference. So a test this week is not representative of UK weather. If your oil bath filter has the hot air feed through the tinware and a working thermostat and flap this applies otherwise you had that installed wrong anyway.... Next you will be moaning about hesitation, icing and bad idling. Then you end up tweaking it to run richer and less economically. The oil bath filters are still around. E.g. FBI VW, Megabug, or just ask around. If just a filter in a shiny bling box was good enough, a Late Bay cost down model would have had it as stock.
