Presumably Ivan the Terrible is one, and :D is the other!!

  4. Haven't worked on a Ital for 35 plus years but if I remember correctly the clutches were difficult to bleed and sometimes this will sound really odd but we bled them via the braking system . How are you for the imperial spanners and sockets ?

My first car was a 1.3L Morris Ital. personally I thought it was great.

I’ve recently been watching this bunch of fellas restoring a Marina GT

  11. I think the old Morris 1000 'Moggy' were the last Whitworth.

  12. Possibly. Think Marinas must have been UNC/UNF. Or whatever old woodscrews BL had sitting around.

I gave all my Marina fitting Imperial spanners to @scrooge95 a while back, but I kept the foot pump and the compression tester I bought almost 40 years ago. Somewhere there is still a Halfords socket set..

Didn’t they also come with a lay-by picnic table?

  16. In beige, to match the beige interior and beige dash?

  17. Believe later Marinas were sold with a free subscription to Incontinence Weekly

  18. My mistake. Just checked, and it was Dodgy Tiddler World.

  19. My first car was a bright yellow Marina 1.7 HL, black vinyl roof and almost shag pile carpet. Cruising around Orpington with Bananarama blasting out of one small speaker. It would have been Hawkwind, but it didn't have a tape player and only really picked up Radio 1. I can still smell it... happy days. A blue Ital just seems a little more reserved, almost conservative (with a small c) by comparison.
