OG Westfalia headlining

  1. Anyone know where I can get either good repro or OG headlining material from so I can replace the split stuff cab end and the shrunk stuff elsewhere

  2. @theBusmonkey replaced his with some good repro stuff, can't remember where he said it was from though. Hopefully he will be on soon to say, I need some as well lol

  3. If you mean the wallpapery stuff then:

Top tip from 'horizontal kipper' on the 8090 forum....

The tailgate card and internal panel coverings on my 1980 Joker were either not there or ripped and in very poor condition.

It's the same covering on the underside of the top locker and bed panel, inside the wardrobe and the side panels,

A near perfect match for the original 'heavy wallpaper' is from a company called Muraspec in Hemel Hempstead. it's called:

    'Murek Cheviot 0419'

and is available by the metre, the roll width is 1.6m.

Goes on a treat and is like a heavy vinyl wallpaper so can be wiped clean. I had 10m and a tub of the paste to go with, including postage was £50.

    Contact no is 08705 117118 .

Be sure to get the bubbles out, and not get carried away chucking it on everywhere quickly marvelling at how nice the bus looks...don't ask me how I know....

The lining is the same in my 78 bay Westy and my 79 T25 Joker.

  4. Hi! I read the Muraspec is paperbacked, how does it hold up after some time?

  5. I think it was me who discovered this. I remembered when they came to paper my office at work they had extra wide stuff for the partition walls.

I wallpapered my headlining in 2006 and it's held up really well and is very durable. You'll have to take all the panels down to make a proper job of it, but it's easy to apply.

I've got Muraspec Cheviot 00ESS but I started off with something else which I decided was too dazzlingly white.
