My other half is an optometrist at an NHS hospital ,she was late home tonight as they had a walk in patient,he started in a and e and got pushed through to her clinic ,chatting to guy it turns out he was grinding a cill on his T 25 and a piece of rusty steel cut through his cornea .The piece could still be in his eye .He is going back in the morning for a scan ,and if any metal is found he will have to undergo surgery to remove .Best case ,he's going to have a scar on his eye and blurred vision ,worst case ,he won't turn up and his eye will become infected ,. Guess what ,he wasn't wearing goggles
I got a piece of grinder splatter in my eye a few months ago and it was health and safety's fault I had a dust mask on and it had pushed the safety goggles up just enough for a spark to get in It's not nice watching someone digging it out with a pin
