  1. My other half is an optometrist at an NHS hospital ,she was late home tonight as they had a walk in patient,he started in a and e and got pushed through to her clinic ,chatting to guy it turns out he was grinding a cill on his T 25 and a piece of rusty steel cut through his cornea .The piece could still be in his eye .He is going back in the morning for a scan ,and if any metal is found he will have to undergo surgery to remove .Best case ,he's going to have a scar on his eye and blurred vision ,worst case ,he won't turn up and his eye will become infected ,.

Guess what ,he wasn't wearing goggles

In my Pharmacy days, it used to amaze me how casual people were about their sight.

I got a piece of grinder splatter in my eye a few months ago and it was health and safety's fault

I had a dust mask on and it had pushed the safety goggles up just enough for a spark to get in

It's not nice watching someone digging it out with a pin
