I don't know what it is but it's something! I have a thermometer in the boat and I'm happy 8 degrees cooler than I was a few years ago. Eventually, maybe, I'll be like one of my old neighbours Ron (R.I.P.) and go through the winter with no heating and all the windows open! The man had coal stacked on his roof and a stove but in his opinion it never got cold enough to bother lighting it. Hard as nails!

 

Or as tight as a ducks armpit.

 

Was rummaging about and found me big coat hiding at the back of the cupboard. Can't remember when I last wore it.

Probably be about 3rd year.

 

He'd have shut a few windows if he was cold? But yes, his finances were stretched, he was in his 80's and still paying maintenance out of his pension for several of his massive number of children. I think he had 25 kids by 8 or 9 women. One of the first things he said to me was "I can still get it up!" Some people never learn. His kids all hated him and so did his ex's. He was odd - selfish yet still trying to support kids that hated him.

 

I remember when we were at school
A mate brought his ferret to school
He would look for someone who was wearing one of them parka coats,
And the ferret would lock onto the fur bit of the hood and hang on by its teeth
And wouldn’t let go.

 

I take my hat off to his daughter. That's her card marked.

If I were Sofia, I'd be very careful about what perfume I use ...

 

Felt a bit ‘nesh’, kipping in this Saturday night.
