Wasn't much to see really. Roof has 5 hinges, 1 has always been dodgy, last camping trip the wind pulled another out. Driving up the road today, an annoying rattle turned out be another hinge flapping about . 3 down. Only 2 at front holding it. the rear strut then pushed the rear of roof off the side of van. While trying to get the fecker back on, 2 front hinges came loose, then the front strut finished it off. Managed to disconnect the struts and get the popper back on roof, had a couple of straps to do one end, then got another strap off a friendly trucker for t'other end. @davidoft offered to have a look, so drove back to hayling island, where he managed to fix it. Luckily the hinges hadn't rusted out, was just the rivets had given up, so he got it all sorted , many thanks to him, saved the day. Owes him a pint we does. Now home and will leave again in morning, and go straight to the t/e campsite instead of a couple of nights near banbury first.
What about the sliding door falling off , you must have some pictures, Kombi man is half deaf due to the barrage of little voices
Oh yeah, and my sliding door has always been absolutely Marmite, so he fixed that as well, now opens, closes, slides , just like a t5. ONE HANDED ! CHEERS @davidoft
Big love and thanks to the Kombi-Man aka @davidoft! Aswell as the pint, we owe you a lot of chocolate biscuits purely for putting up with the shouting & banter of the small people! Those pesky kids! I'm sure your ears are still ringing! I should have paid you to superglue the boy's lips together!
Thanks, can't make it as my little boys birthday is on the 22nd so it's party time at our place, next time, post me down a bacon Sanga
