My old Michelin’s, produced in 2000, have a few cracks in the side walls. The treads are fine, but feels squirmy on roundabouts. I’ve had my money’s worth so any new commercial tyre will be better than what’s on there. Any recommendations?
I appear to have Maxmiler Pro on the front and Runway Enduro on the rear. All C rated. They seem okay
If they were manufactured in 2000 they are well past there use by date I must admit i had the same on ours of that age Replaced them a couple of years ago with a new set of Hankook Vantras & it totally transformed the ride quality. Much smoother & quieter
Hankooks or I got kargo max tyres good overall a little noisy over 120 mph so I usually keep it under 55
I asked the same question last year after we bought Lizzie Lou and ended up buying Uniroyal Rainmax 3. Can't fault them, but then again I don't exactly explore the limits of dry road grip...
If your buying 4 you can usually get 15-20 percent off just look for a promo code I use national tyres for all mine.
I’m only getting the rear ones, mate,as Imreplaced the fronts 3 years ago. It still steers nice, but the back end just seems a bit ‘squirmy’ for my liking, tbh.
Try the usual suspects Tyreleader, Openeo, round&black & several other online suppliers I can’t think of at the moment. One of them will have an offer on
Goodyear Cargo G28 here, summer tyres really. Not that it matters as they've changed the range now. I chose them as they're relatively quiet - a lot of the noise in a bus starts at the tyres so it might be something to consider when choosing.
Pirelli Carrier all season for me, although 195/70 R15C is the smallest they make so no use for those with standard 14” wheels. Chosen because they have very good wet grip, and they're relatively quiet.
Thanks everyone. On a budget, so I got these on a good recommendation Landsail. They make tyres for Boeing 747’s... Good wet grip, and relatively quiet.
Good tyres better to be safe than sorry you always see caravan with blown tyres on the M5 this time of year, for the sake of some tyres they would rather be on the hard shoulder with half the wheel arch missing. Must cost more in the long run.
