new mot laws

  1. seen in METRO paper , 30 year old vehicles exempt from mot AS LONG AS they have no aftermarket parts fitted !!! this , people is just the start ! do think about that last statement? its just one small shift till they get to peeps like us , (sorry , us!)
     
  2. so in theory a cut & welded beam and dropping a couple of splines is OK ;)
     
  3. They have just introduced MOT exemption to pre 1960's vehicles that starts in November so I would be surprised if they introduce this at the same time. Maybe thay are getting confused.

    so it will be ok to drive around with knackered old parts as you cant buy original parts
     
  5. We've heard strange rumours like this before and where has it got us. But it's in a paper, it MUST be true. :(
     
  6. Saying that ....i havent a mot but i can still get tax online ...for the whole year free.... :thinking: mmmmmM

  15. May 72, one year only me so kinda chucked together in a hurry with some strange bits thrown in which is why I look wierd and I'm pretty much knackered :p

  18. balls..dvla has changed the website to check for valid mot ......last time i used it didnt ...my bad ...sorry peps......
