I bought him last week from Anton (grill and chill) in Kent.
440 mile round trip with Hiccup on the trailer. Never again.
Now the work begins. ( I've got a feeling I'm going to need you guys!)

Does that mean you've done this before then? What sort of shape is he in.. Or too early to really tell?

Freckle's my first vw project, but I'm in safe hands as mr @MK-Bay has had past beetle projects and is a dab hand at welding etc (helps the bank balance - just!)

I've had a couple of dubs before. A Devon bus and a 58' bug (reg TJF 52) which is like to see again.
But I've had kit cars for 25 years. 7 Spartans and 3 Cobras. Also a 68' 911 and an 83' 911.
Mechanics I'm ok with. But body work I've never tackled.
Looking at my bay, I'd say it needs both rear quarters and a sill opposite the sliding door. But as I said I'm no body man. Then it needs paint.
Interior I'll do myself as I fit and design and supply kitchens for a living.
