Was in the pub with Mrs Moons and I wondered aloud, as you do, as to why you can get coke with a bit of lemon, yet they make cherry flavoured coke. Smart arsed stranger next to me said they have done it for years (smug ar$e said it in the voice of someone that had discovered the double helix) - would have appreciated it if it hadn't been for the 'tude. Is this true? What sheltered backwoods have I lived in, if so?!?!
I'm sure they did lime coke and lemon, I can certainy remember vanilla coke, it was a bit sicky tasting though
I think they stopped the vanilla but kept the lemon or lime. Whatever one it is except for cherry coke, they are all revolting. I'd rather have a slice of fruit in mine anytime.
The vanilla one was lovely, especially so with vodka. Can't find it anywhere now, so have to make do with vanilla vodka and plain coke instead
Back in '96 when I was in Atlanta, I went on the 'world of Coca-Cola' tour. At the end there is a sampling room, full of Coke beverages they produce around the world. There was a fountain with Coke infused with Strawberry/Raspberry/Blueberry etc etc..... most were very odd, I remember liking the Orange one though
lemon and lime is only out in the summer months where as the cherry variant is out all year round. (i think)
in germany they've always made coke with lemon. not coca cola, but we always used to drink it on school trips!
