Need a heater. Any advice?

  1. We have a 73 Westy with no real heating system (unless you count the engine heat when travelling). Off to Brighton Breeze in a couple of weeks and want to buy a small portable heater that we can connect through the electric hook up.

After browsing the web, there are so many options. And I want to make sure we get something that is sensible for the space requiring heating plus something that is safe.

Have looked at the small halogen heaters but think we could do with some advice.

    Does anyone has any suggestions?

  2. That looks great, like the safety cut out switch too :)

mines been reconditioned tested and works a treat you can leave it on all nite on low or while your out,
its a balanced flue and gives out a great heat runs from your gas bottle,

im fittin it in the bus next year when ive sorted the furniture and flooring

well worth buyin if it stays cheap enough... ;)

This is a dual range fan heater which draws either 900 or 1800 watts. This can be critical as some hook ups will only give you a 4 or 5 amp supply, and you'd trip out the system if you overloaded it.

I've camped in March and it's very effective on the low range and extreme toast on the upper.

  8. I've got a coleman blackcat propane heater, portable use in awning or van and no hookup required
The gas can be a bit hard to find so I bought a bulk lot off ebay. runs for 7 hours on high setting on one cylinder
The instructions say not to use in enclosed spaces, but as they are catalytic they do not produce carbon monoxide, but you should have a small amount of ventilation to keep oxygen levels up. My badly fitting doors are adequate for this purpose. I also have a carbon monoxide detector.

    4'' deep
the hot gass comes out of the top, and the cold air enters through the bottom,
