I decided to pay for the national lottery online for convenience so I signed up/ The cheakey beggars did a credit check on me & I had a notification from Experian. I am really annoyed about this my bank did the same before when they offered me a mortgage quotation, I asked the bank if it would involve a credit check & they said no. I got the bank one removed with one letter, I've now sent a similar letter to these clowns:- Hi, can you please explain to me why you've done a credit check on me without my consent, I would like it removed please as I'm going to take things further. I have levied a charge on you of £50 per day that is displayed on my file. Once it is removed I will be taking county court action against you for the amount you now owe, if however it is removed within the next 7 days I will as a good will gesture let the matter drop. Regards, Chris Jones Morale of the story, regularly check your file and anything dodgy do something about it.
did you get anywhere with this? it does state on the t&c's that this may happen https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/p/privacypolicy.ftl
Dear mr radioman please answer this question. Tlb will hack your account and make you look silly by posting pictures of you in strange situations. However if you comply by answering within 7 days we will let the matter drop and only use the pictures for Horts' own pleasure Regards Me
You must have fun getting car insurance quotes! They're used as an identity check, and whether or not to offer credit at point of sale, which is a different type of search to 'Applying' for credit. From my experience of working witihin car insurance, swathes of the country are blacklisted by certain companies for credit payment facilities based solely on postcode :-X
