Name something British

  1. It was, by a 12 year old called Peter Chilvers in 1958 though years later a couple of Americans tried to claim the credit leading to a lot of patent infringement litigation.

The birth of windsurfing began 65 years ago, when 12-year-old Peter Chilvers built and sailed the world's first sailboard off Hayling Island, on the south coast of England, in April 1958

    :)

    Americans were 10-12 years later

Pessimism - our one true gift to the world.

Apparently in the 30’s then after the war there was a study into why facism, despite burning brightly across many parts of Europe had simply never caught on here.

It’s because the British simply would not believe anyone who told them that the grass was greener on the other side.

    Our pessimism saved us.

I think puppets are quite a bit older than fireball XL5 and filming is too, but put together they may have been a British first?

I have a licence to drive Supercar, signed by Mike Mercury and Professor Popkiss. Sadly I never took them up on it, I doubt I'd fit in the cockpit now.
