I too, have a daughter I don’t speak too. I only found out on Farcebook, a couple of weeks ago, that I had become a grandad last August…

 

I have your first one on my list, but my daughters and grandkids, not yours!

 

I agree with everything that people are advising, but (and I speak from experience with my brother), it has to be a two way street for communication to work.

Every 4-6 weeks, I send a message to my brother which I know is read and I get nothing in return. I'll keep sending the messages and when he's ready, he'll reply.

 

And that is why I keep sending messages...

 

It’s easier said than done, when it’s not your situation, though..

 

What format are they sent ? Email , pen and paper or word if mouth or whatever . You need to be sure that it is in fact your brother that received the message and not someone else , there are flaws in all formats of messages that could easily result in the intended recipient not getting the message . Try another or several different formats .

 

It is difficult to get through to them when their mind is set, I’ve tried texting, emails, letter( remember them) nothing works I haven’t given up after 10 years of trying but I almost have
