One fuzzy pic and a claim to rareness and mintness in "Show us your ride". 2 fuzzy pics and a clear one where I can see the rear arch panel join (that doesn't get a mention in the list of repairs) on an ad for £18K! I think could try harder if you want a good response.
I don't quite get what you're asking. Is it. How many of the conversions are rare, or how Many Malaga' s there are.
I've been watching ebay for my van for around 12 years. Over that time, and visiting shows, and watching for adverts online, I have a list of 12 number plates (some of which have come up in different colours a few times over that period) and a couple where someone has decided to flog the interior. That is not a world definitive list - I would imagine there are at least twice that out there, possible 6 times - who knows. Does this make it rare - personally I couldn't give a Marmite - I ONLY own mine because it was my dad's - had it been a Toyota HiAce or Fiat Amigo (which he also looked at) I would possibly own that instead. As for there being only one type of rear hinge - Ricky's is different to mine, and I've seen other rear hinges that don't have the two steel bars running internally in the roof (though the two Malaga's I've seen up close did have that). Personally - if something is being sold as rare, it needs to maintain the original parts that define it as type of something to be a rare one of - can't comment on the van for sale here, not enough pics.
Just a pointer this is how an advert should look http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1735769 Please note the canvas
I've only seen Malaga's in RHD, do you know if it was a UK only model? Same for the other's - only seen them in LHD.
Yes UK model. I think it was called a Dusseldorf in lhd. Not 100% on that. I know the Oxford post dated it as the British option. Not many of those sold either.
