I know a few of you on here are into Landys and off-roading so I thought you'd like my mate Dobber's new toy. He's built the Landrover that Landrover should've built! He's been trying it out, not known for his subtlety is Dobber.
he's not from east sussex is he?? my mate used to live across the road from a guy who was doing a gaylander / rangerover thing. looked bloody dangerous but this looks quite good fun
Nope, Daventry. I believe its a Freelander body on a Discovery Chassis, with huge suspension and all the off roady bits. He spent a couple of days driving just the chassis around with a chair bolted to the rails, Mad Max styleee, until local Plod told him to stop arsing around as he was scaring the locals. He knows what he's doing off road and says it's very competent 'cos it's got the proper engine/box/diff/suspension combinations to make it work. I don't know who owns the White Van but it's not him.
I have seen this TBR as I used to live just outside Daventry and it came into the garage i was working at probably for a mot I think? There is quiet a few of these around as it is a good conversion as you said it had all the right running gear!
where is the step ladder? I've only seen old grannies driving freelanders, so they'll need some steps to get in and out
