My Dream Bus

  1. As I'm now allowed in the main 'rides' forum due to my age, I shall post here. (Shamelessly stolen from my EB thread).

I didn't even know I had a dream bus, but as soon as I saw her, I knew she was the one.
Original owner from new. Original paint. Original interior.

Introducing, my 1969 Deluxe Microbus, Grace.

She will be on her way to the UK over the next few weeks.
    I cannot wait.

  2. Nice bus, are you living in the UK & can you get insurance on it? ;)

  6. Plan is to first give her a good clean and polish. Then we want to have any dents/scratches restored properly - avoiding filler and retaining as much OG paint as possible.
We're keeping the OG interior and want to fix that up, then give her a mechanical upgrade (brakes/engine) and finally lower her (I think).

I can only get insured on Adrian Flux, but my Dad will be with either FJ or Heritage.

I don't like. I really don't like oh what's happening to me. This is the forth early that I really do like :)

    Good luck with her.

  8. That bus is a gem. I can see how it bewitched you. The colors are elegant and subtle. Those are usually the first buses to get tarted up with tie-dyed headliners, bad red paint jobs and bean bag chairs, the original benches tossed to the winds.
It looks like it's been sitting in a barn in Arizona for 20 years.
    That color is magnificent.
Those filthy seats just might sparkle like new with a little bleach, degreaser, and elbow grease.
Please take lots of photos for us as you spiff him up!
We love seeing a bus like that come back into focus!
