  1. Was that the gig with James brown as well? I was there, I remember a terrible girl band playing, but thought they had 'lemon' in their name:confused:

Edit. Just read the original post which says James brown was there. That girl band were Marmitee though. I remember there was a rumour going round just before the gig that 'the pixies' were supporting. Then those girls came on:mad:

  2. I saw Meatloaf last year and he was terrible. Previous concerts he's been spot on but last year it was embarrassing. Sad to say but I'm glad he's called it a day.

  3. I have always avoided seeing Bob Dylan for that reason

I've seen Dylan about 10 or 12 times & I'd say that he's put on a good show at least 75% of the time.
The same goes for Neil Young, you might get the greatest hits show or end up with 90 minutes of screaming feedback but you just never know what sort of mood he'll be in on the night.

  5. the Smiths.... Any of it ...

  6. I dont think this was their best performance.

  7. I went to see Dr John at the Hammersmith Appollo thinking he wasn't going to be quite as good as a studio recording but he was dire and at one point someone in the audience shouted at him 'cheer up you miserable old git '
