  11. Did IOW last year - tents, not van and I have to say it wasn't my favourite. The weather was atrocious but it was the way they filled up each camp site before opening the next one. Basically if you wanted family camping you had no choice but to go in to another site - it was sooo dis-organised and security was almost non existent. Toilet and water facilities were also not up to scratch.

Doing Leeds this year in the van - having previously done the last ten years under canvas so will be a new experience for me.

  18. Bearded theory is good, went last year. There was a bit of sennanigans over camping (tents), they had to open up more fields and encroach on the camper area because there werent enough space for tents, but it was all sorted out.

EOTR is great, lots of extra activities to keep kids and adults entertained, beautiful location, the comedy was good and very family friendly, great atmosphere. This year will be our 4th year, first in a camper though. If you turn up in a car they charge £5 for parking on arrival and you will have to lug your equipment over 600m to the camp site (the car park and camping locations have varied over the years, this year they quote 600m on the web although unless you get there early it will be much more than that) . The £50 fee for campers bypasses all this, so although it sounds like a lot its worth it when you see the poor souls struggling up rocky roads and wheels falling off their trolleys as a result. I have a family of five and it used to take about 4 or 5 trips to the car to get all the stuff, then you still have to put the tent up and get everything organised. Normally knackered after doing all that, this was a factor in us getting a van in the first place.
