I know it's taken ages, but here's a few pictures of Mr.Grey, the South African Kombi. ;D The stringy steering wheel Campershak interior - I've almost finished it The Campershak have been fantastic, any small "How and Why and where ?? " i've had whilst fitting out has been answered really quickly. The quality of the cabinetry is excellent, with loads of attention to detail.
Thanks Hopefully, by the end of feb things should really start to come together. New Forest Dub Club meet back end of last summer Parked up, waiting for the AA : fuel leak on old carbs. Possible crud in the float chamber, and all my tools at home. NOTE TO SELF - always carry some tools Mr.Grey himself, from my panel van back in the 90's You gotta have some moon eyes stuff 8) Update: mooneye dust caps stolen by a chav - they will look out of place on a Max Powerwd Nova
Massive thanks to Delilah's for the curtains which are a perfect match to the Campershak interior. Even the fridge curtain has a plastic backing to stop it getting manky.
Just got the van back. It's been away being lowered. 3 inch drop, some seering parts replaced, also carbs 34ICTS finally running perfect. No more popping, lag etc And now using a fraction of the fuel! Lots of other jobs done that I couldn't do myself out on the street. Massive thanks to Beetlelink at Farnham ;D they have done a fantastic job, can't recommend Grant (the Boss) and John enough.
New door cards and buddy seat cushions All the vinyl upholstery has been done by a local bloke, Paul ( AKA Spider ) at the Upholstery Shop, Totton. He's got a t4 he's worked on being featured in next months Camper and Bus. Next jobs Some decent billet door handles Rear quarter cards Front seats And when the money tree has blossomed, take the van apart and get a repray
We're hoping to fit a camper shak interior to our van this year at some point. How did you find fitting it all?
I thought the van was nice at the beginning of the thread but I see it will even better when you are finished.
