What's your thoughts? I have two buses and one of them I reckon I should make the full time camper. So I fancy one of these new styleee interiors, what's your thoughts? Who does the nicest one? Single slider could be LHD or RHD. This will be instead of getting a cheap Eriba Puck so that gives a budget. Mrs TBR prefers to cook out of the Bus and..... Well that's about it really.
I do like the campershak offerings , seen a couple in the flesh and they look the business . Classic look and layout but very well designed and built .. http://www.thecampershak.co.uk/technical.php If i was to bite the bullet i`d be looking here ...
I've been thinking about getting an off the peg interior but they truly are stupid money! I could understand it if they were genuinely bespoke but once they've done the design it's just re-cutting to the same template. Personally I think interiors and upholstery suffer most from so called scene tax.
Had mine done at campershak. Decent job and willing to faff about with sunroof on mine. Only 2 miles away too
I've only seen pictures but I agree. Their interiors look to scale and correct somehow, as well as quality materials/work. very nice.
Steve and Joanne at http://www.vwinteriors.com/ did a really nice job on mine, including some completely bespoke items. Not silly money either.
Get one done to how you want it for you, old devon one's are made of cardboard and Westy even though better made are a bad design and take up too much room
Yep; mainly because it was a) your first time and b) it's not what you do. Had you templated it, the next one would be much easier. I know they've got to recoup those costs and make a profit but several thousand quid for a bogo ply interior is daft.
Or speak to Paul at Campervandals - real nice fella and always willing to help. I can ask for his number if you want or if you're on Facebook then look him up.
The finished interior is on here. http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/1972-crossover-restoration.662/page-9 The custom part is the unit with the fridge which has a sink / cooker in the top and storage for a gas bottle.
Cheers, looks good. I'm after a full width bed and just a unit with build in fridge behind the drivers seat.
I wanted 4 seats in the rear, hence the layout. Lost the walk through to get a proper sink / cooker / fridge / big gas bottle. Just decide how many children you will need to accommodate in the future!
Freddie is a minibus so not much to strip, he also has a proper Ambulance step for the old and infirm (Mrs TBR) and is a walk through. What's the dough @sjhjoinery ?
Mine was made and assembled in about four hours, fitting took another day. Mind I do have access to a large CNC and foil wrapper at work
A little too white for me and Murph the Black Lab but I like it, however I will be looking at a fitted job, provided I can afford it.
