After packing up we used the opportunity of all the family being together to go to Porthcawl to scatter my fathers ashes. We tried to make it an enjoyable day strange as that may sound so we all had a nice family day out:-

  5. I haven't updated for a while but I have done a bit, the first thing was to replace the broken sunvisor, I didn't want to replace the driver one as there is a label on it I want to keep:-

  6. I had a worrying knock from the rear that I thought I had a problem with the engine. It turned out it was the bumper bracket rubbing on the exhaust, so I had to take it off:-

While it was off I thought I'd replace the rusty bolts for the third time. I've decided instead to weld the bracket to the bumper & repaint the lot. The cleaner lines will look so much better:-

  7. Your van looks better than factory. Just a thought, we had great luck with our sun visors (and headliner) cleaning them with a vinegar and water solution. It came out clean with a bit of rubbing with a tooth brush.

Engine is still quite clean and no oil leaks:-

  11. This is the real reason the bumper bracket has been rubbing on the exhaust:-

There is no rot but, the welds have split. there were only 4 bolts holding the bumper on & I think had there been 6 it wouldn't have happened.
The next job is to repair this and to refit the bumper.

Well she passed the MOT with no advisories:-
