Sold for £157 - someone got a bargain.

  3. Serious question here because I would be seriously tempted to go Scooby power for the reliability factor (it would give my wife the confidence in the engine to allow us to consider going into Europe with the bus): aside from the wiring loom which I would have to get someone to sort out for me, how much hassle as a DIY is this? I have an 091 box already which I know is kinda required for these things, but aside from the complete setup like in that auction and the radiators, what sort of other stuff would be required?

Seriously considering the scooby route for Gusbus (else a sorted type 4 motor), we had a look at Marcs Panel Van & must say it looks great..there is a place in Cheadle does the parts:

not far from me or you, Baybirmingham!

theres also a forum for the conversions

A scooby conversion is a bit more - you have to modify the fuel tank, I seem to recall seeing Marc's had some modification done - you could see it as the bulkhead cover was removed, it allows something on top of the scooby motor to sit correctly..its around £1500 minimum for the conversion kit (less engine & box)

i agree with what you guys say , i have read quite a bit on the subject , however that set up was a bargain starting point if it was as good as they said :)
