Midlands - Steven Sutton Ride Out - 17th May - Garnering Interest

Okidoke - I'd like to think most people know who the legend Steven Sutton is (please look him up, his story is inspirational).

He was pretty local to me - and the other day I popped into Millennium Fasteners in Lichfield (excellent place to avoid scene tax) and one of the gents there mentioned that they did a ride out each year and might we be interested taking some VW's along (the ride out is around 26 miles, around Lichfield (WS14 postcode) and last year it was bikes and Austin 7's.

I'm writing here to garner interest - it's a charity run not a big VW meet - but I thought it might be cool to see if we can get some VW camper's along (VW camper of any size shape age). It's on closed roads btw.

Where we are at the moment (22 Jan) is me asking here if there is any interest, and then I'll contact the organisers and see if they want a VW presence - it's a bit chicken and egg as you can understand.

For clarity - this is not confirmed as at 22nd Jan - and if and when it is, please go through me if you are coming for the ride out part as I wanted to make the organisers job easier.

I'll post updates as we go.

Hi @Shep and @whereuromnosecity - I'm going to can this for this year, I've tried some of the splitty guys too and can't raise enough interest to make it worthwhile (as it we don't look like we joined in by accident!)

Lesson learnt - way too late on the notice front.

@Terrordales - can it be unpinned please - I'll see what the ride out manifests itself into, i.e. how it grows and what their plans are for next year.
