Thursday night we stopped at Sunnysands campsite in Talybont near Barmouth, it has a touring site although we stayed in a static for that night just as a base to start from, http://www.sunnysands.co.uk/ it's a decent site with a club and shop/chippie and arcades onsite plus a nice beach. It was a bit boggy from the recent rain! Early Friday we headed up the coast to Conwy, i'd never been there but on recomendation from a mate we tried http://www.conwytouringpark.co.uk/ i wasn't overly happy with the site as there were no ammenities onsite although a club and play area was available it was a long way from our pitch, the ground was wet and that spoiled it a bit but that wasn't the sites fault, the area we were in would have been nice on a dry summer i guess. I had bought a small awning for camps like this where we move about everyday and i'm very happy with it, it's easy to pitch. Inside. Saturday we decided to head up coast to Rhyl/Prestatyn and just find a site, the first one didn't take dogs so we found this one in Prestatyn http://www.nantmilltouring.co.uk/index.htm this site was EXCELLENT clean tidy and perfect i will be going back for sure. I got a bit drunk doing the barby in the sun as i carried on drinking after i found a pub in town selling Thatchers Gold..... Mrs roo retired to the van to relax and i got the look for being annoying. Sunday we packed up and drove to Rhyl for some shopping and a nosey, it's a bit of a dump nowadays gone downhill a lot. We then drove back to Prestatyn seafront and sat for 3 hours chilling before heading home. Drove home up the coast to Flint then across to Whitchurch and home through the Mids, had a really good long weekend the van ran well did over 350 miles and i smiled loads, the van is the best thing i ever got.
when do you get it back? i've got a week off end of aug that the mrs can't get time off for and i'm thinking of a little meet up somewhere?
