  1. A good time to..
Get your meters read and details off to your
    Money grabbing supplier,

So your only paying new rates from tomorrow..

as prices are about to rocket....

  2. Don't add anything on, if you do by mistake don't answer the door to a meter reader.

  3. ...and take a photo in case they don't believe you.

  5. I guess @Barry Haynes is safe then.

  6. Dirty gets!

  7. Done ours and they said it looked low..:)

    That's because they've overestimated..

And I've reduced the gas usage..
Hardwood crates from India are heating us now. :p

I’ve taken the reading and put the lolly stick back in to stop the wheel from turning:thumbsup:

Correct smart meter reading is a problem for me as you have so many options. Why can't you give them the actual number displayed, instead scrolling through stuff which doesn't make any sense.
I've managed once but haven't a clue what to do this time. Surely it should be a simple read out. I shouldn't have to go online to find out how to read a blessed meter.

I’m hoping we’ll get to April 1st and they’ll just tell us it was a wind up

I think there’s a pun in there, albeit there’s very little humour in the situation

  13. Smart meters read automatically. We've just been online to do a reading and Scottish Power state they have already taken the readings today.
Robbing so n so’s have put our bill up from £122 pm to £217pm.

If you can afford too, put a higher meter reading in and you’ll pay for that gas/electricity in advance but at a much cheaper rate.

  15. I've just checked and mine says April the 2nd prices increase?

    My misson for tomorrow.
    80 to 160 now £300 apparently.
    Totally unacceptable and unjustified.
    Crazy goings on.

I've got smart meters from the previous supplier but when I switched to Bulb they can't remotely read them so I have to read them and input the data. I'll do it tomorrow.

  18. Good on ya. We’ve still got old school electric and gas meters. They’ll have to step over my dead body to fit “smart” ones (which have no benefit to the consumer that I can see).
