Meh! Better if it was like the original Triumph, not a modern version...and Steve McQueen crashed.(On his off screen attempt.)
He never did the film jump, he tried off camera, and crashedz. Bud Elkins did the jump. He built the two bikes, too.
My neck hairs on end ...! Cause it’s Pretty stupid.. Try evil kneivels caesars palace jump. on a harley 750 paperweight , and I’ll tune in ...
This reminds me to watch the film again. I know they took a few liberties with the historical accuracy but it's still a superb film. This along with Where Eagles Dare used to be staples of the Christmas TV schedule
I’ve not seen it.....yet . is it a really difficult jump? Is it cos the type of bike? I’ve been to see the stunt riders at Sheffield Arena and they get really high, tho their bikes probably weigh a pound.
Our annual Christmas treat was to sit on the cold hard floor of the school hall and watch The Guns Of Navarone on the wall via a noisy projector.
To be honest, it was all a bit underwhelming... especially if you have seen the sort of jumps motor crossers do.. but worth a watch for the entertainment value. Now, if he had tried it on the same bike they used in the original film it may have been a bit more challenging!
We could only dream of hard concrete floors... we had to sit on broken glass to watch a film being acted out by rats.
We used to save all our money up so we could afford a piece of coal with which to draw a piece of toast....we’d be allowed a turn to lick a burnt match so we could imagine the taste....
