Me n Will spend a stormy night in a haunted quarry 900 ft up Clee hill .

Well some say its haunted by a old miner killed by a runaway mine cart , we just thought it was quiet and had amazing views - free camping anyway

A good walk yesterday through driving wind and rain gave us a good appetite and a good nights sleep , we missed the ghost but the driving wind and rain woke us ( me ) a couple of times

Clee hill is in shropshire between ludlow and Kidderminster , its a wild and barren environment where men are men and sheep are worried , a few miles beyond to the south are the more famous Malvern hills .

A E Housman wrote poetry about this area , A Shropshire lad is probably his most noted work -

i love the Clee's and its got a lot of common land so park up and enjoy .

The bus went very well , for the first time since i have had it i could pull up to a junction without seeing the tell tale red light on the dash that meant the engine had stopped , it took some getting used to : all i could hear was the satisfying tick of a vw aircooled and i can't say i missed that roar of the empi !.
