Quite coincidentally I read a post about the forthcoming series of Peaky Blinders at lunch before hearing about this during the afternoon.

didn’t really pay him any notice in the earlier days of my F1 fandom. Certainly sounds like a character in the obituary.

Terrible trying to contact him at work. He was always tied up in a meeting.

 

he had his failings but F1 is a safer place for drivers now thanks to his work on the safety aspect.
