Me too but as others have said in this and other Top Gear threads even that looked like it'd had it's day towards the end. The car show format has only ever worked once and that was with the boys that have left, But Joey from friends ffs

Open show with presenters doing this might get some extra viewers.

 

I always watched it for the entertainment side, never really been that interested in cars, esp ones i cant afford, even tho the "specials" were soooo scripted they kept me entertained for an hour or so.
I completely understand that the vast majority want a decent car programme, not 3 guys fooling around so if they can get the new show right and somebody treats me to the Amazon thing we should all be happy, must agree on the FFS bit tho

No, I'm with you, I don't really like cars either or car shows, it was the 3 guys fooling around bit that made it the biggest BBC show on planet earth, sold to every corner of the world, They were also all relatively unknown before Top Gear. They need new unknown people again with their own ideas. But in truth who cares anyway

 

He's one for the ladies I guess.
Personally, I thought TG was good 10 years ago, but got so tired and predictable. They need new writers as well as presenters.

 

I think it had actually run its course. I'd doubt the originals will be able to do any better on Amazon, TBH.

 

I think they should scrap both shows and come up with a new concept. Like driving around the countryside in a van and cooking stuff

 

so they have a german, yank and a English person i cant help thinking its done to help sell to these countrys

I dont think I'll be watching, not a fan of Chris Evans but I did guess Matt le Blanc was the next presenter, we had a competition in the office and the guy who knew said "he's American and more random than Boris Johnson" (which was someone else's guess).... Don't think the show is going to deliver much. Maybe it'll become TGIO... Thank God Its Over
